Diego Morales served as a top aide and senior advisor to Vice President Mike Pence
while he was Governor of Indiana. He is now a Chief Business Development Officer in
the private sector, working for Sodrel Holding, Inc., a multimillion-dollar company.
Diego is a multilingual executive with experience in the public and private sector, as well as an adjunct professor of business. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a proud member of the American Legion, the Rotary Club, and other leading civic organizations.

Diego has been honored as a “Sagamore of the Wabash” and a “Kentucky Colonel.”
Both awards are given to those who have rendered distinguished service to the state
and country. In addition, he’s been named “Ambassador of Peace” internationally by the country of Guatemala.
Diego incorporates his extensive educational achievements and expert leadership skills– which he gained through business, the U.S. military and graduate studies – to help promote initiatives for a better Indiana, America and world.

Diego was born in Guatemala, then immigrated to and grew up in Sellersburg, Indiana. He graduated from Indiana University, majoring in Communications & Political Science. Diego later went on to earn an MBA from Purdue University and a Global MBA from Tilburg University in Europe. He has also completed other graduate studies in Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Beijing, Shanghai, Guatemala, Mexico and Brazil.

He is a world traveler, a humanitarian who loves history, and his favorite President is Abraham Lincoln. Diego Morales currently lives in the GREAT state of Indiana with his wife Sidi and the rest of his family.

After working in the trenches as a CEO for many years, Gordon decided to begin sharing his hard-won business acumen with others who want to succeed. He has established himself as a trusted mentor and coach, helping numerous companies increase shareholder value while minimizing risk.

Under Gordon’s leadership, the Midland Group now offers a variety of services and educational tools.

Gordon Bell spent 10 years being trained as part of Alcoa Inc.’s senior management development program. This resulted in his being in the 36th graduating class of their noted Pittsburgh Management Conference.

Accomplishments:

  • Developed Midland Management Solutions, a proprietary process that helps companies increase shareholder value and minimize risk.
  • Advised and supported owners and management teams in strategic alliances, joint ventures, private equity, ESOP and IPO exit strategy alternatives.
  • Completed more than 60 buy-side and sell-side transactions in diverse markets, including retail, industrial, packaging, foodservice and sanitary maintenance.
  • Led and assisted in the globalization of numerous businesses.
  • Conducted hundreds of strategic plans, value enhancement plans and exit plans.
  • Led market and product development teams in worldwide launches of patented technologies.
  • Served as CEO of five different businesses.
  • Granted 9 patents of his own.

To our Friends of the Chamber,

The Hispanic Chamber Golf Outing will be new and improved in 2014! We have plans to greatly expand the number of golfers and sponsors for the 24th annual Outing, to take place August 1, 2014 at Colonial Oak Golf Club. We will have better prizes, more games, and more fun, while supporting the vital mission of the Hispanic Chamber.
